”If you want to go in there and throw your life away, then by all means go for it. Maybe it’ll sate them for the time being, and the rest of us can continue without problems while you don’t listen.” He responded. Live or die, it didn’t matter. So long as she didn’t drag the rest of them into it.
Her question seemed a little too pointed for his own taste. “What you’re seeing is what you're getting, girl. Why’re you asking anyways? Where am I going to hide these people? In closets?” He asked sarcastically. Truthfully the rest of his tribe was camping out somewhere in the Outer city. he’d decided against staying in the ruins this time.
Valko continued going around with his tribesmen along with the strange girl. Most, if not all, of the Outlet was overgrown with plants. “Looks like gardening turned out to actually be important.” He muttered while they cut their way into one of the buildings. “Alright, spread out in groups, keep in twos. If you run into trouble them make some noise to get the rest of us, but don’t go screaming loud enough to bring the hissy fits of horror around, alright?” He ordered. The rest of them nodded and broke off. He nodded to the girl. “You’re with me then."

Christina held her breath before answering, "I'm sure you'd like that a lot." She told him plainly, trying to not act bothered by the comment. "It explains why you wouldn't want to give them up." She answered him back, "That is your problem not mind, I don't think they'd be happy if you hid them in closets though, small space." She laughed as she followed behind him. Valko made a comment about the plants and she found herself staring at them as she followed after him. She listened to him tell his men to spread out in groups of two and gave further instruction on gaining each other's attention without making the Gangrels get wind of it. She looked at his men, she hadn't nodded in agreement, she wasn't one for running away without a fight.
Though he had said she was with him and that was when she had chosen to nod. She withdrew an arrow and held it firming between her fingers as she walked next to him. Her point of being able to shoot instead of wasting time to be ready. When the Gangrels came into view she waited for Valko to ready himself before she fired her first arrow, shooting the Gangrel straight in the heart. Now that should have gotten their attention. She thought to herself as she withdrew another arrow.
”You think I care?” He asked back plainly. “Do whatever you want as long as it doesn’t drag me and my men into trouble, okay?” This girl was a weird one; that much Valko had decided. Still she’d proven she was good enough with a bow, even if Valko had a feeling she was itching to go after more gangrels. Calling that stupid felt redundant, and he doubted she would listen anyways.
Due to the dangers of the ruins, a lot of these areas were relatively untouched. That only made things better for Valko and his tribe to find things of worth. Unfortunately there were the gangrels of course. “Why the hell are there so many?” He growled, nocking an arrow and taking aim. Gangrels did like to hang out in the ruins mainly because they were slaughtered if they got near the walls. However, finding this many seemed a little outrageous even for the Outlet.
He managed to hit one in the heart to put it down, and hit the other in the leg to slow it. “Hit it!” He yelled to her while moving to take care of the other two permanently. From how she’d handled her shots so far, he figured she would be able to take care of this one too. “I swear more of them are coming because you’re around."
Christina rolled her eyes at him, he knew how to turn anything she said into annoying so trying, would be pointless at this point. "I don't drag people down, if I wanted you or your men dead I would have left you instead of joining." She stated plainly, as of currently she didn't want them dead but Valko was, truth be told, starting to get on her nerves. His question earned him a look from her but she didn't answer it, she didn't care the reason for why there were so many, just the fact they'd be able to kill them all. She fired another arrow at the Gangrels, missing it's heart slightly. Valko got it in the heart though and had fired another one well she was in the process of getting another arrow.
He told her to hit it and she fired, watching him kill the other two, now he would have a third on his list. "You'd love to blame me." She answered him back, no humor in her voice at this point. "Oh well." It was clear that she didn't care. He wanted to go kill them anyway... She withdrew another arrow and fired, hitting another Gangrel in the heart. She noticed two more coming towards her and one was going towards Valko. She fired the arrow towards Valko's first even though the other two were getting closer and closer towards her. She counted in her head how many she had hit so far, always being a showoff if give the chance.
She withdrew another arrow, firing at one of the two Gangrels coming towards her, the one in the heart. She shot the second one late and found it closer to comfort. Damn it, move, move, move. Christina fired towards the Gangrel, missing it again and it was upon her. She ripped the knife out from the top of her outfit and stabbed the Gangrel in the neck, in the process of cutting it's head of, feeling it's nails dig into her arms. The head fall off, she was in the process of pushing the dead body off of her when more Gangrels made their way straight for her, she wasn't ready for them.
”Then thanks for your generosity.” He returned with enough of a mocking tone. Despite the sudden appearance of the gangrels, he still had time for making remarks. Unfortunately it looked like even more were coming.
“I’ll blame you if we don’t get out alive.” He replied dryly while taking the head off the last one. The girl managed to take down another one coming for him, so he turned his axe to that one too. “We’ve got gangrels!” He yelled out to draw in the rest of his tribe. It didn’t matter now about noise. Clearly the gangrels were drawn here for one reason or another despite how much they’d kept silent. Maybe it really was the girl. He’d never had this much trouble the previous times they’d gone to the Outlet.
Extra gangrel taken out, more were coming now. Fortunately, so were his tribesmen. Valko hurried to Chris’ side and fired off arrows at the monsters going after her. “Ok, we’re getting out of here!” He ordered to the rest of his men. No scavenging mission was worth this much trouble. With a hand, he hefted the girl up to her feet. “Move it, girl!” He said, turning to help his tribesmen push out of the building to leave the Outlet in one piece.
“I hate gangrels.” He repeated in a grim mutter while firing off another arrow.

Christina didn't say anything to him, it was his idea to come out and raid this place the only mistake she had made was coming out here to hunt and perhaps joining him since he planned on blaming her if they died here. Valko shouted that they had Gangrels and she hoped it meant his tribe was coming. She was surprised to see Valko move towards her, shooting arrows at the Gangrels coming towards them. He told them they were getting out of here, she was in the process of getting up, grateful when Valko helped her up. She wiped the bloody knife on her skirt before hiding it back in the top of her outfit.
"You don't have to tell me twice." She followed after Valko who was pushing his tribesmen out of the building. She withdrew another arrow, firing towards another Gangrel, as of currently, aiming for their heart to force them to pause and go into hibernation. Just my luck, I went out hunting and came back out empty handed. My arms hurt, I can feel the cuts in my arms thanks to that damn Gangrel. I hope the cut isn't to deep. She glanced back once more, firing another one of her arrows, missing the Gangrel, to her surprise they had stopped following and were going back into the Outlet.
That was weird, why did they stop and go back inside? A confused look expression was on her face, but she wasn't about to stay around here to find out why they had stopped following her. Well that raid had been a waste of time, at least it was fun while it lasted. I don't think anybody died. She found herself counting his tribe to see if anybody was missing, since she had seen the group before they had split up, she had a pretty good idea of how many were supposed to be here right now.
Thoughts crossed her mind late, Okay I'm out of that hell hole, but why the hell am I still following him? It wasn't like he had told her to follow, she had just done it anyway. She glanced down at her arms, blood coming from the cut from the top of her shoulder down to her elbow on both arms. It happened all so fast, what was the Gangrel trying to do, scratch my arms off? God the cuts almost feel as bad as being cut by a dull knife. She wanted to know how bad her injury was but she needed to clean it first.
"Thanks." She said finally, one had to ask if she was talking about their first meeting, or when he had saved her from the Gangrels a second time, or if it was because of her being allowed to follow him still. "Thanks for saving me back there." She corrected herself, not sure what to expect to hear back from him.
Reuinited with his tribe, Valko continued to push out of the building. The gangrels didn’t make it easy, but they managed. The girl also actually listened to him. Miracles could happen, he figured. By the time they got out of the Outlet itself, they’d set many gangrels into hibernation and managed to decapitate a few. The rest eventually turned back and left Valko and his tribe alone.
“Fucking gangrels.” He growled before turning to assess his tribesmen. For the most part they were alright. A few injuries here and there, but no one was dead. They could all get patched up once they returned home. For now they’d deal with it however they could.
The thanks was unexpected. Valko turned towards the girl and raised an eyebrow. Although one look at her wounds made him scowl instead of smile. “Don’t go thanking me when you can still die from those cuts, idiot.” He said. “Someone hand me some wraps.” He ordered. One of his men obeyed and he walked towards Christina before grabbing her arm. “Hold still.” He commanded as he started wrapping.
