Stubborn as always, Lucy took time before she bothered to look up to her again. The intensity of whatever moment they shared felt like it had dissipated completely, but perhaps that was more driven by the way her attention was pulled. She dropped her hands to her sides, refusing another connection between them. It was better this way.
"I'm fine. I feel fine." It was a stark cry from how she felt before she had been woken. She could hold herself up and walk with ease and better, or perhaps worse, was the fact that she was just given a taste of her own strength and speed. "It's my choice. I'll be fine."

A step away had Penny watching only more intensely, and dropped hands had her wanting to reach for them. Did she feel it too? Or perhaps it was only a growing desire since before she made the change. Surely it felt stronger now.
But she didn't let it show. Her head tilted to the side, eyebrows quirking upward. "Don't be stupid," Penny offered. By now, she determined any advice would likely be ignored until she learned better. Though, she hoped the girl wouldn't be too reckless on her way out.

As she stood, Lucy looked somewhat insulted by the notion of acting stupid. Surely such a thing wasn't totally called for? The crinkle in her nose was proof enough of her distaste, and she immediately folded her arms to land on the defensive.
And when she was told to come back, she laughed a little. Lucy had already determined that she likely wouldn't; some part of her was still greatly angered by what had gone on here. "You're not my mum." She pointed out. Just her captor. But was that a sense of longing for company she felt? It was odd to feel, to say the least.
More, it was why she stood in her company for a spare set of seconds. Why she glanced at her mouth in a move she thought wouldn't be caught before she looked back to her eyes again.
"Well, bye." She said. Was the door really hers to take? She glanced towards it either way.

If the young vampire believed the way she glanced down was subtle, she was heavily mistaken. A shift of her gaze was easily caught, and it put a curve to the line that she looked down to. Penelope Blaise wasn't often smug, but it was far too perfect of an opportunity not to be.
Already, this girl was hesitating, even when Penny gave her what she claimed to want. It was proof enough that she was right. It was far too tempting to try and make her stay. At this rate, it couldn't be too hard, could it?
Smugness wore on this individual well. Lucy still felt unscathed by the way she had looked at her. A wayward glance that lingered too long, but she still simmered with an edge she couldn't shake.
But again, she talked like Lucy would come back. Like it was bound to happen sooner or later. Sooner, likely. Her eyes said everything and nothing.
"Yeah, whatever." Lucy replied, but she still took the opportunity to peel herself away completely. She moved away with a clever backstep, as soon as she made any kind of distance, it felt easier. At least, she told herself it was.
So she did leave. And despite everything said to her, she was absolutely destined to do something stupid.
