Felix franticly flipped through the pages of the weathered book, his eyes scanning the page he needed, before he smiled; Finally, he'd found what he was looking for.
Painkillers and other forms of boxed medication was all too rare beyond the inner city, often commanding near extortionate prices at trading posts; But Felix wasn't out savaging in order to line his own pocket. His all too thumbed through treasures, the medical books he'd been so lucky to recover, listed various pills and medication he so terribly needed; People thankfully seemed to have high pain barriers, likely something naturally adapted by those living beyond the inner city, where they were bred far tougher then the people he'd grown up with, but despite that Felix's heart was often heavy at having to cause pain on his patients in order to do good. If he could provide just a little pain relief... Perhaps his patients would find it easier to cope.
The nurse could barely contain his grin, smiling goofily as he looked over the positive treasure trove he'd managed to stumble across; An entire cupboard filled to the brim with unused, if covered in layers of dirt and dust, boxes of medication.
The dull, barely readable sign of "Noland's Pharmacy" had drawn Felix to the empty store, and it's thankfully overlooked stock. Perhaps, since few beyond the vampires' stronghold could read, the disused shop had been left untouched... Until now.
Felix, knelt up on top of the counter, had the cupboards all thrown open, revealing the piles upon piles of precious boxes. With almost child like glee, Felix quickly pulled off his shoulder bag, unzipping it with eager hands. He slipped his text back into it's folds, before he began the task of pulling the boxes from the shelves, piling them at a rapid pace into the bag.
However, a sudden faint clattering caused the young man to freeze; With widened eyes, he slowly looked over his shoulder, looking out into the dull, dusty darkness, what had once been a plane terminal quiet and unmoving; Some light streamed in, the first streams of moonlight of the early evening, casting eerie shadows across the floor and stretching up the walls. He scanned the area, his breath catching in his throat, trying desperately to remain as still as he could possibly be.
