Christina huffed at his comment, "Nice try." She joked with him but he mentioned her old weapons and she almost perked up until he told her that they needed to stay at the base. "I understand." She did understand, at least he was going to get her the knife back. "I know they need it more." She added, trying to reassure him. It's to bad that I couldn't have those back though, I guess I'll have to find some other means of getting some for myself. She decided to worry about that later though. Christina followed him back through the tunnels and into the outer city.
Home sweet home.... She thought to herself, somewhat missing the place she had once called home. The only one that came to mind was the one she stayed in when she was in the unit. As soon as her parents died she had left, there wasn't anything for her anymore. She remembered the day that her parents hadn't come back. The dreadful day that she decided she was done with hunting vampires. If it wasn't for the fact that her parents had gone out of their way to kill the vampires they might have still been alive by now, but no, they had gone out and gotten themselves killed.
I would have loved to know who those vampires are, if any still survive, I'd gladly kill them, but going out of my way to kill them when I know it wouldn't make me feel any better anyway.... What is the point, I know those in the unit will just so it anyway, so I might as well live my life the way I wish to live it. She decided, keeping her thoughts to herself. It wasn't long before the base had come into view. "This place hasn't changed a bit." She always said that when she would come here. Sometimes there would be different people lurking, other times there would be more, or less than before. That was the life of a hunter though, death happened, or others left for a reason one way or another.
