Vampirism was a wonderful thing, splendid in fact, if it was used the right way. Julian had been a vampire for over a century, going on two and he could say he'd done well in his time as a vampire. However, what he seemed to regret most of all was not writing down his experiences to document the adventures that he had been on. The ones worth remembering. Of course he had many more years to experience them again, perhaps better than before, but the first experience was always the most memorable. Lately he'd been carrying a journal, doing his best to write whatever interesting thing happened in each day. If nothing happened, it was almost pointless to carry it around, but he didn't quite care anymore.
Sitting nearby the Gates that were the entrance in and out of the city, Jam knew that he was bound to find something interesting. An escapee, a runaway human, someone who was trying to enter to 'overrule' the vampires. Oh the list went on. In any case that came across him, Julian was certain that he would get some entertainment.
It had to have been a few hours before anything caught his eye. With the sound of feet hitting the ground, his eyes lifted lazily and he caught sight of a woman headed towards him. She was slight, short and a fairly cute brunette from the looks of it. While his hand scrawled across the page of his notebook, he watched her. Describing what he could, though he wasn't sure it mattered if he remembered her or not. It would only matter if she held any of his interest. From the distance he was sitting, he could already tell that she wasn't human. The warmth didn't strike him, nor did the scent. She was a vampire of some kind, but he couldn't get a clear enough read on her, so he sat and waited for her to come closer until she realized that he was there.
