She was missing the movie? Jessica rolled her eyes at the blonde's attempt to divert her attention. "As if you really cared." She said sarcastically. Nonetheless she did turn back to keep watching the movie. She'd missed a fairly good deal of it due to the blonde's commentary. Fortunately she'd already watched the film countless times.
Shifting to find a comfortable position once again, Jessica settled in to watch the movie (hopefully) without any more interruption. However as time went on, she found herself growing drowsier and drowsier. Her eyelids were already halfway shut, and she was finding it increasingly hard to keep them there much less all the way open.
Whatever short burst of energy she'd gotten when she came home and drank, it clearly was spent. The day had been a hard one. Abruptly she found herself at the head of a project she would have never expected to be trusted with. Imagining the future work she was going to have to do only served to tire her out more. So before she knew it, she'd passed out right on top of her best friend. She was going to need all the sleep she could get after all.

Maybe Shannon didn't particularly care. The brunette had seen through that much. But still, she shifted and settled instead of pushed the argument further. Taking that as a victory, Shannon also turned her attention back towards the film. She certainly wasn't as big a fan, but she could at least admit that the music was nice as well as the art. For a while she could refrain from making any more commentary. Eventually though, she opened her mouth to say something else.
One glance down made her pause though. There lay her friend, clearly asleep. Obviously the day had taken even more of a toll on the woman than Shannon expected for her to fall asleep during a film. It brought a faint, soft smile to the blonde's face. She didn't want to chance waking the girl up- even if she doubted the tired brunette would actually stir at this point. Sighing, Shannon resigned herself to become the "pillow" for the night. Her only regret was that she hadn't picked the movie that ultimately only she was going to be watching it seemed.
