Alexa wandered along the park footpath, she had been told by her master make herself scarce, apparently he had important company over and this company dead not fond of humans. He had dismissed all the girls apart from three of the older ones, this gave Alexa the feeling his guest did not like children in particular. Not that she would consider herself a child, a young adult maybe but not at child. Still if this was a tough customer she should just be great full she didn't have to be the one getting stared at like a medium rare steak. Not that she had ever eaten steak either, by one of the elder girls had and apparently it was heavenly.
She spotted a bench and made her way over to it. The Sun was setting, meaning the meeting should be starting soon. She had been told to wait until midnight before returning. In theory she should be safe because she was registered as belonging to him. Any one who tried to take her or feed from her were putting them selves at risk. This made her feel slightly better, by only slightly. Maybe I should've gone somewhere more public... She thought, throwing a cautious look around her. She felt a chill down her spine and the cool breeze raised the hairs on her arms.
"Okay chick, you need to take a chill pill, cause you are doing yourself no favours here." She told herself aloud, rubbing her arms as she said it. Turning she sat herself on the bench, she tried to think of something distracting, so focused on making a list of the jobs she needed to do later for the master. They was laundry and cleaning, fortunately it was her turn to cook for humans tonight meaning she could take it easy once she'd done her work. She was fed well enugh these days, her master seemed to understand that sustenance was essential for good workers. It was never fancy but it was a damn sight better than what she was used to growing up. She let out a sigh as she contemplated the hungry days she used to suffer growing up. Boy had things changed since then.
