Sitting on top of one of the rooftops near the wall, Ezra lazily dragged his fingers through his hair. He didn't know what about the outer city that fascinated him so much, but then again, it wasn't as if he was about to take a trip down his psyche to find out either. Instead, he kept to the shadows, dully watching the various people draw near the wall, yet few seemed willing to draw too close; He supposed he couldn't blame them. After all, danger was both alluring and scary at the same time.
Stifling a yawn, the young man stretched his arms as he heard footsteps nearby, drawing ever closer. Closer than any other had dared ventured thus far. Peeking over the corner of the roof, a lazy smile formed on his lips and Ezra rolled onto his back, his head hanging off of the side as he let out a purring laugh.
"My, my vampire girl," he cooed, "Didn't expect you to come back in one piece," he added. He didn't think the girl would be happy to see him - after all, their last meeting hadn't exactly gone over well, with her shooting an arrow at him and then fleeing the crime scene like a scared little bunny. It was a good thing Ezra was in a good mood and didn't hold a grudge.
"Do tell," he then said, "How's a vampire like yourself able to walk around in full view without getting lynched by the angry mob?" He then mocked a shocked expression. "Did they lose their pitchforks?"
Christina hadn't seen Ezra after her catch, it gave her the time needed to clean her kill and cook it. Creating a fire was harder than trying to remove the feathers from the bird, but once it had been started she made sure to cook it thoroughly before eating it. She was slowly making her way back into the outer city when she turned to look back at the wall to see Ezra was on it. She had a surprised look on her face but changed it to being serious. "Boy would you love to know." She answered him back, knowing he wanted to know how she was still alive when being outside the wall was so dangerous.
"Oh yes, they lost their pitchforks because I stole them." Christina answered forming a smile on her face when she had said it. "Why, did you lose yours as well?" She knew he was a vampire, he knew that she wasn't. What can I say? I wasn't lying about hunting, just whom. "Why are you up there anyway? I'm not seeing the benefit." There is no way he would have known when I'd be coming back here, what'd he do, wait up for me? It was hard to appear calm when she knew he was a vampire and she only have arrows for her choice of weapon.
"Do you have a name or will I have to assign one to you?" She asked finally, seeing as she would end up seeing him more often than she had once expected she didn't see any harm in having something associated with his face. Christina folded her arms, holding her elbows with her hands as she stared at the wall, the best thing she could do at this point was give him eye contact because if she lost it she would be done for.

"Well, since you're here, clearly in one piece, I already do know," he replied evenly, having to keep himself from rolling his eyes at this silly little excuse for a human. She was still at it, acting as if the entire world revolved around her. Well, boy was she in for a surprise once she got down from her high horse or what?
This time he did roll his eyes; She might think her responses clever, when in truth, they were nothing but defiant and childish. What a bore. Then, thankfully, the young woman changed the topic of conversation. "This?" he gestured towards the top of the roof before shrugging. "It's silent, there's few people around and I get a knocking view of this dirty little alley down there," he continued and jerked his thumb over his shoulder. "What's not to love?"
She asked for his name then and Ezra smirked, wagging a finger at her dismissively. "You've yet to earn that kind of intimacy, Barbie." He wondered briefly to himself then, did barbies even exist anymore? Was that even a thing that people gave their children? He somewhat doubted it. He didn't really see toys being something people would prioritize as the world they once knew ended.
Christina rolled her eyes at him, "Of course you do." She answered him back not expecting him to answer but when he did she just sighed, "I guess you have a point there." Not that she would want to see a dirty alley but being so high up and having a chance to see so much sounded like a nice sight, not that she would admit that in front of him. Ezra had smirked when she asked what to call him, wagging a finger at her and assigning her a nickname made her frown trying to keep from making a rude comment over to him. "Chris is my name, not 'Barbie' and suit yourself I'll just name you something then." She answered him back, somewhat happy he had chosen to not give a name.
The name Barbie, she heard of it when she used to go hunting for vampires when she used herself as bait with her unit. One of the vampires had called her such a thing and when she was not understanding why the name was so horrible he had spelled it out for her. That had ended as quickly as it had started. "As if the rags many humans get stuck with wearing is so much better than what I wear." She answered, clearly understanding the nickname all to well. "Are you planning on staying on that wall?" She asked before thinking to herself.
Because if you do, I might just turn and walk away now.... just because it wouldn't look good for me to talk with you when we happen to be in the outer city where hunters may sooner or later approach. She pulled herself from her thoughts, still looking up at him. I really need to give him a nickname since he thinks it was okay to call me Barbie.... Most likely from pleasure of not knowing that I knew exactly what it meant. But then again, I bet he is getting pleasure knowing that I know what it means too. Trying to come up with a quick nickname for him was turning out to be harder than she had once thought.

"Chris, Barbie, vampire girl - in the end, your name is insignificant." He looked at her, his head tilted to the sight, but there was no sarcasm lacing his voice. In fact, one's name meant nothing. Especially not in a world such as this. The only thing that meant something was the amount of power one carried. A name was just that; a name.
"I'll steal one of your lines," he began, pursing his lips. "Whether or not I stay, I don't see how that's any concern of yours." He smirked again then before his blue eyes moved up towards the sky. The less attention he attracted the better, though, he honestly doubted the girl was stupid enough to do anything that would put them both at risk. Him, a vampire lurking around the outer city would cause chaos and her, a human girl talking to a vampire and lurking around the wall even though it was strictly forbidden to pass through it.
He wondered then how someone as dense as this girl could possibly get past the guards and into the tunnels. Did these humans learn the pattern of the guards' patrol system?
Christina rolled her eyes at him again. If he was going to not call her by Chris, than she would find some other means to bother him back. She had asked him a question and he had thrown her own line of words right back in her face. "Well I suppose that is your problem then." She answered him back, if he was looking for attention from her she would allow him to understand right now she was't going to waste time giving it. She took a few steps away from the wall, it wouldn't be a smart move to turn her back on him, not when he was so much faster than she was. "Be warned though, I don't take kindly to being followed around, so I highly suggest you find another human to toy around with." She answered him, a warning that she wasn't going to take any possible crap he might want to throw at her.
She still faced him, it was weird taking her steps backwards but at least if he moved she would still see it. She would have withdrew an arrow and held it firm to aim it, but she didn't want this vampire feeling a great need to fight her. Besides, he thought of her as foolish, maybe he would underestimate her. "Good by Vampire Boy." It was a terrible nickname but she didn't have time to worry about that, she was never good at picking nicknames and she wasn't about to focus on a good one just for the likes of him. I wonder if he really plans on letting me go. She took a few more steps back, planning on turn to run off.
